Community gathering in faith and hope

Our Story & Ministries

Born From Grief. Built on Grace.

Angel's Haven Ministries exists because one family refused to let tragedy have the final word.

Cassie and Myles

Myles

19 months old. Forever in our hearts.

"His life was short, but his legacy is eternal."

"Let the little children come to Me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these."— Matthew 19:14 (NIV)

How It Began

Myles Changed Everything

Angel's Haven Ministries was founded by Katherine Ann "Cassie" Medina in honor of her precious great-nephew, Myles, whose life was tragically taken far too soon. Inspired by the love and faith of her family — including Pastor Sandy Escher, Myles' great-grandmother, and Michele Acosta-Gibson, Myles' grandmother — Angel's Haven was established to bring hope, healing, protection, and the love of Jesus Christ to children, families, and all who are hurting.

Our mission is to be the hands and feet of Jesus by creating a haven for the hurting, the lost, the abused, the addicted, the homeless, survivors of human trafficking, and all those whose homes have not been places of safety, love, or peace. We believe that every life is precious, every child matters, and every person deserves to know they are seen, loved, protected, and never forgotten.

Through Christ-centered outreach, prayer, practical support, compassion, and community, Angel's Haven Ministries exists to bring light into dark places, restore hope to the brokenhearted, strengthen families, advocate for vulnerable children, and help people encounter the love, safety, healing, and redemption found only in Jesus Christ.

We are committed to seeing restoration, healing, and hope brought to children, their families, and individuals, believing that God is able to redeem every story, restore broken relationships, and make all things new through His love and grace. In honor of Myles, and for every life still waiting for a haven, we serve with unwavering faith, unconditional love, and steadfast purpose, trusting God to transform lives and fulfill His promises.

Why We Exist

Our Mission

To be the hands and feet of Jesus by creating a haven for the hurting, the lost, the abused, the addicted, the homeless, survivors of human trafficking, and all those whose homes have not been places of safety, love, or peace — bringing hope, healing, and the love of Jesus Christ to children, families, and all who are hurting.

Our Vision

To see restoration, healing, and hope brought to children, their families, and individuals — believing that God is able to redeem every story, restore broken relationships, and make all things new through His love and grace.

Our Core Values

Faith

Everything we do flows from our trust in Jesus Christ and His Word. Faith is the foundation that holds us steady in every season.

Compassion

We meet people in their pain without judgment, offering grace, presence, and the unconditional love of Christ.

Integrity

We operate with transparency, accountability, and honesty in all we do — before God and before the people we serve.

Advocacy

We speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves — especially children and the vulnerable — because every life has immeasurable worth.

Hope

We believe no story is beyond redemption. We carry hope into dark places, trusting God to restore what has been broken.

Service

We don't just talk about love — we show it. Through hands-on, practical service we become the hands and feet of Jesus in our community.

What We Believe

Statement of Faith

At Angel's Haven Ministries, our faith is the foundation of everything we do. We believe the Holy Bible is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God, and it is our guide for faith, life, and ministry.

We Believe…

The Bible

We believe the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments are the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God, revealing His truth, His character, and His plan of salvation.

"All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness."

2 Timothy 3:16–17

The Trinity

We believe there is one true and living God, eternally existing in three Persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

"Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit."

Matthew 28:19

Jesus Christ

We believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God, fully God and fully man. He lived a sinless life, died for our sins, rose again on the third day, ascended into heaven, and will return in glory.

"For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life."

John 3:16

Salvation

We believe salvation is by God's grace alone through faith in Jesus Christ alone, not by works.

"For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith… it is the gift of God—not by works."

Ephesians 2:8–9

The Holy Spirit

We believe the Holy Spirit dwells within every believer, empowering, guiding, comforting, and equipping us to live for Christ.

"But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you…"

Acts 1:8

The Sanctity of Human Life

We believe every person is created in the image of God and possesses inherent dignity and immeasurable worth from conception to natural death. Every child is precious, every life has purpose, and every individual deserves love, protection, compassion, and the opportunity to experience the hope found in Jesus Christ.

"Before I formed you in the womb I knew you; before you were born I set you apart."

Jeremiah 1:5

Marriage and Family

We believe that God established marriage as a sacred covenant between one man and one woman, designed to reflect His love, faithfulness, and covenant relationship with His people. We believe the family is God's foundational institution for nurturing children, teaching biblical values, and demonstrating His love. We are committed to strengthening marriages, restoring families whenever possible, and supporting children, parents, caregivers, foster families, and adoptive families with compassion, grace, and biblical truth.

"Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and they shall become one flesh."

Genesis 2:24

Our Mission

We believe God has called Angel's Haven Ministries to be the hands and feet of Jesus by serving children, families, and individuals who are hurting. Through prayer, outreach, advocacy, practical assistance, and the love of Christ, we seek to bring healing, restoration, hope, and the transforming power of the Gospel.

"Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress…"

James 1:27

Our Commitment

We are committed to serving every person with dignity, compassion, humility, integrity, and unconditional love while remaining faithful to the truth of God's Word.

"Whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of Mine, you did for Me."

Matthew 25:40

"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."

Jeremiah 29:11

"Here am I. Send me!"

Isaiah 6:8

What We Do

Our Ministries

Every program we run flows from the same heart — to be the hands and feet of Jesus for those who need it most.

Crisis Support

Crisis Support

We walk alongside individuals and families in their darkest moments — providing immediate emotional, spiritual, and practical support to those facing crisis, abuse, or trauma. No one should face their worst day alone.

Children's Ministry

Children's Ministry

Every child deserves to feel safe, loved, and seen. We advocate for vulnerable children, provide safe spaces, and surround kids with the truth that they are precious, known by God, and never forgotten.

Community Outreach

Community Outreach

From food distribution to community events, we meet practical needs while sharing the hope of the Gospel. We go where the need is — into neighborhoods, shelters, and streets — with open hands and open hearts.

Prayer Ministry

Prayer Ministry

Prayer is the foundation of everything we do. We offer personal prayer support, intercede for our community, and believe in the power of God to heal, restore, and transform every life that is surrendered to Him.

Disaster Relief

Disaster Relief

When disaster strikes, we mobilize. We partner with local and national organizations to bring immediate relief — food, supplies, shelter, and the presence of people who care — to those affected by natural disasters and emergencies.

Family Restoration

Family Restoration

Families are the foundation of community. We provide support, resources, and Christ-centered guidance to help broken families heal, rebuild trust, and discover the wholeness that God intends for every home.
